That setup looks like it will come to a full stop with 2 cars going in the opposite direction, the non highway flow of traffic crosses. Note the RL version has much lanes and lane management, which is something I wish we had more control over in game. It may work in some situations, but my guess if you have any kind of through traffic from the non motorway direction that intersection will crawl. That looks to me to be highly inefficient, probably because it is RL and they are trying to minimise how many actual on ramps there are to the highway(because IRL merges are killers for highways but I have not seen this tank the in game traffic yet). Then the opposing traffic crosses, then the left turning highway traffic MERGES with what should be the easy right turn from the opposite direction. I should post a pic of my non interference intersection, but I am not sure how to take screen shots and I won't be home for 8 or 9 hours.īut that intersection, seems to have a failure to bleed the easy highway traffic early(the ones that are taking a right turn on to the highway and it thrusting all of the 3 lane traffic into the 1 lane highway ramp immediately. I'm basically trying every widget and asset in game to learn how it behaves, and the city is expanding completely randomly.Īlso, improved wind turbines are just cheating. Standard structure is good - industry in its dedicated zone, and all residential mixed with some services here and there for maximum covareage and commercial zones.

So far i restarted 3 times, since i tried to go slow but ended expanding a lot and burning all money - now i'm taking it real slow and i have an active budget while i haven't used any loan. Unfortunately i don't have screenshots right now, will post them in the evening. I finally have started to play too! Since i'm more 'creative' i'm basically expanding at random shapes - though i see how the game calculates the 'coverage' of major services depending on how long is the way to get to the people.
